PU RSGCRL organizes int’l conference LAHORE: (Friday, March 17, 2023): Punjab University Remote Sensing, GIS and Climatic Research Lab (RSGCRL), National Center of GIS and Space Applications, Centre for Remote Sensing and Institute of Education and Research jointly organized 3-day international conference on ‘Remote Sensing, GIS and Climate Change: Applications, Strategies, Solutions & Education (RSGCC-23). The conference was attended by PHEC Chairman Prof Dr Shahid Munir, Professor Emeritus Dr Muhammad Nawaz, IER Director Prof Dr Abdul Qayyum Chaudhry, Director RSGCRL Dr Zia Ul Haq, eminent researchers from Pakistan and abroad, faculty members and students. Speakers in the conference shared their experiences and research on various topics. They emphasized collective research work. They appreciated the productive idea to provide a platform for researcher to present their research. Dr Zia ul Haq said that in the conference different activities included oral paper presentations, poster exhibition & competition, geospatial science & technology exhibition, workshops, panel discussions and tree plantation drive etc were held. He said that more than 1000 researchers, academician, professionals and students from Pakistan and fourteen other countries participated in RSGCC-2023. He said that the conference provided an opportunity to the participants to meet with the world renowned scientists, researchers, and academicians in-person to discuss research challenges and solutions, by unleashing and sharing new ideas and avenues, and this event provided opportunities to initiate joint projects and collaborations with industry and research institutes, working in Remote Sensing, GIS, Climate Change and allied research domains.
