LAHORE: (Monday, October 30, 2023): The Times Higher Education has ranked Punjab University number 1 in Pakistan in the subjects of social sciences, education and psychology. In the recent ranking, this year Pakistani HEIs have been ranked in 9 subjects. In 2018, a dedicated ranking committee was established in the Punjab University under the leadership of Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood. Since then, the university has significantly raised its position in various international rankings.  In a press statement, PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood has expressed hope that the faculty and students of these disciplines will focus on retaining their leading position in Pakistani HEIs. He said that this development was not possible without the dedicated effort of faculty, students and staff.
