LAHORE: (Saturday, November 18, 2023): Punjab University Library in collaboration with Pakistan Library Association (PLA) Punjab and PU Librarian Organization (PULO) organized a condolence reference in honor of Sher Afzal Khan (Late). On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Chief Librarian Dr Muhammad Haroon Usmani, Director Institute of Information Management Prof Dr Nosheen Fatima Warraich, President PLA Dr Khalid Mahmood Sangerha, librarians and faculty members were present. In his address, PU VC Dr Khalid Mahmood highlighted the profound impact Sher Afzal Khan had on the profession, emphasizing his invaluable contributions. Dr Muhammad Haroon Usmani provided insights into Sher Afzal Khan's life and contributions. President PLA Dr Khalid Mahmood Sangerha and Librarian from Quaid e Azam Sher Afzal Malik, former Chairperson Department of Library Science Karachi University Dr Farhat Hussain, faculty members, colleagues and attendees also expressed heartfelt memories and tributes to the former librarian of Bahria University and President of KOHA Pakistan Trainer, Sher Afzal Khan. The program concluded with a prayer for his eternal peace.
