LAHORE: (Sunday, December 10, 2023): Punjab University College of Art and Design’s Department of Graphic Design organized a film screening and talk with an award-winning filmmaker, producer and screenwriter Amirul Arham. He is a Bengali who has been living in Paris since 1985. Arham's film ‘Social Business’ is screened at Old Campus. On this occasion, Chairman Department of Graphic Design Dr Ahmad Bilal, former Chairman Israr Chishti, Professor from NCA R.M Naeem, Professor Shahnawaz Zaidi, faculty members and a large number of students were present. Arham said that the film brings a lot of hope to the people living in societies like ours. He told the audience that we can create connectivity within the filmmakers and seek opportunities to expand our part of the cinema. Dr Ahmad Bilal tells the students that this film brought a message for all of us that problems can be solved and solutions can be converted into sustainable businesses, and this film brings a kind of hope within itself. Asrar Chishti describes that documentary making is a hard job. He said that one has to travel and need to reach to actual locations for the shoot. R.M, Naeem asks the audience that we all have to take some responsibility and that's how we can achieve a better tomorrow. Professor Zaidi said that that it is wonderful to have an international filmmaker amongst us and his film brought us beautiful imagery.
