LAHORE: (Tuesday, December 12, 2023): Punjab University Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Abdullah Khan Durrani said that awareness is necessary to control population in Pakistan. He was addressing in a session with Vice-Chancellors of various universities at his office’s committee room. The session was organized by the Department of Population Welfare, Government of Punjab. On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer PPIF, Department of Population Welfare Punjab Saman Rai, Vice Chancellor’s from Poonch University Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Women University Sialkot, Lahore College for Women University, University of Home Economics and heads of various departments of Punjab University were present. In his address, Prof Dr Abdullah Khan Durrani said that we have to work together to solve the problems arising from the growing population in Pakistan. Saman Rai said that the objective of the session was to create awareness among the VCs of various universities to include population related content in the university curriculum. She said that the role of educational institutions is important to control the population of Pakistan.
