Officials from the Pakistan Biosafety Clearing House (Pak-BCH), led by Ms. Farzana Altaf Shah, Director General of Pak-EPA, visited the lab facilities of the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB) at the University of the Punjab on March 8th, 2024. The visit aimed to enhance biosafety protocols and foster collaboration between governmental and academic institutions.

A meeting ensued between Pak-BCH officials and members of CEMB's Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), alongside other faculty members. Discussions revolved around fortifying biosafety standards and promoting sustainable practices in molecular biology research.
