Seminar on "SESAME SYNCHROTRON" organized by Department of Physics, Punjab University The Department of Physics, University of the Punjab organized an International Seminar on " SESAME SYNCHROTRON" on January 30, 2024. The Synchrotron-Light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East (SESAME) is an independent laboratory located in Allan of Jordan, created under the auspices of UNESCO on 30 May 2002. Dr. ANDREA LAUSI, Scientific Director, SESAME, Jordan delivered a talk to unveils the wonders of the SEASME SYNCHROTRON. Prof. Dr. Mahmood-ul-Hassan, Chairman department of physics, welcomed Dr. Andrea Lausi. A large number of audience from Punjab University, Government College University Lahore, Forman Christian College Lahore, LUMS University, and University of Education attended the seminar. Dr. Andrea Lausi highlighted the importance of cutting-edge science using beamline at SESAME, different characterizations techniques available at their facility and discussed the possibilities of research opportunities at SESAME.
