PU Institute of Zoology marks World Wildlife Day LAHORE: (Monday, March 11, 2024): Punjab University Institute of Zoology organizes an awareness walk to mark World Wildlife Day. On this occasion, PU Institute of Zoology Professor Dr Zulfiqar Ali, faculty members and a large number of students were present. In his address, Dr Zulfiqar said that the event aimed to foster a deeper understanding of the importance of wildlife conservation for students. He said that frist part of the walk was adorned in wildlife-themed attire, embarked on campus and second at Changa Manga Wildlife Sanctuary, symbolizing their commitment to wildlife conservation. Informative stations were strategically placed along the route, offering insights into local wildlife, conservation efforts and actionable steps for captive wildlife in semi-wild conditions, he added.
