LAHORE: (Friday, March 15, 2024): Punjab University Department of Social Work, Sughra Begum Center for Education Policy and Development in collaboration with Arfa Karim Foundation organized a seminar on ‘Education, Social Innovation and Social Development: Arfa Karim's Dream’ at Al Raazi Hall. On this occasion, Director Sughra Begum Center for Education Policy and Development Dr Sonia Umar, Chairperson Department of Social Work Dr Uzma Ashiq, Chairperson of Arfa Karim Foundation Samina Karim, Chief Executive Officer Tabinda Islam, Director Social and Cultural Studies Dr Rubeena Zakar, President Academic Staff Association Dr Amjad Abbas Magsi, Director GG IT Dr Kamran Abid, Chairman of History Department Dr Mahboob Hussain, teachers and a large number of students were present. Arfa Karim Fellowship program was launched in the seminar under which 50 students will be given scholarships. Arfa Karim Foundation announced that teacher Arfa will start the IT project. The speakers said that out-of-school children can also be educated with the development in the IT sector.
