LAHORE: (Friday, May 03, 2024): Punjab University Confucius Institute organized the 23rd ‘Chinese bridge competition’. On this occasion, Host director of PU Confucius institute Prof Dr Shafiq ur Rehman, Vice President of Lahore Overseas Chinese, Miss He Yubing, Deputy Director Institute of History, Heilongjiang Provincial Academy of social sciences Sun Ce, Country Manager of Dalian Bingshan Engineering and Trading Co, Ltd Mr Zhousai, Confucius institute teachers Xing Xuanyu and Miss Chen Meifen were present. In his address, Dr Shafiq said that the Chinese Bridge Competition is an important platform for international college students to learn the Chinese language and understand more about China. He said that the competition includes language competency, knowledge of China, Chinese cultural skills, and comprehensive aptitude. He said that participants first compete in a local preliminary competition and that winners are invited to semi-final and final contests in China. In the competition, Abdullah Lodhi got 1st position; Muhammad Manzoor secured second position while Saqib Ali and Muhammad Irfan Aslam obtained third position. Fiza Minhail and Waqar Ali got the excellent award. Confucius institute congratulates all the candidates for their win.
