LAHORE: (Thursday, May 16, 2024): Punjab University Department of Sports lecturer Muhammad Abdul Jabbar Adnan has won 4 gold medals in the super heavyweight category in the Asian University Classic and Asian Equipped Power Lifting Championship 2024 held in Hong Kong by demonstrating excellent performance. As many as, 150 players from 17 countries participated in the championship.

Abdul Jabbar Adnan, 41, has been associated with powerlifting for 20 years and won the honor of becoming the Asian champion for the 5th time. The National Anthem of Pakistan was also played in the ceremony for Abdul Jabbar’s gold medal. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Chairman Department of Sports Science and Physical Education Dr Zaffar Iqbal Butt and Director Sports Zubair Ahmad Butt congratulated Abdul Jabbar Adnan on this milestone. The VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood said that Abdul Jabbar brought 4 gold medals to the name of PU and the nation.
