58th Meeting of the Board of Governors Held at CEMB Lahore, May 31, 2024 – The 58th meeting of the Board of Governors (BoG) was convened at the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB). The session was chaired by Prof. Khalid Mahmood. The esteemed attendees included Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah (T.I, S.I), Dr. Raja Razi ul Hasnain, Secretary of the Pakistan Science Foundation, Prof. Dr. Naeem Rashid from the School of Biological Sciences at the University of the Punjab, Dr. Mazhar Iqbal (T.I) from the National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (NIBGE), Prof. Dr. Wasim Shehzad from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore, representatives from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Ministry of Science and Technology. During the meeting, Director of CEMB, Prof. Moazur Rahman, provided an extensive presentation on the ongoing research activities and accomplishments of the centre. The presentation highlighted the significant progress in various health and agriculture research projects and the impact of CEMB's work on scientific and technological advancements in Pakistan. The Board of Governors discussed strategic plans, research funding, and collaborative efforts to further enhance the capabilities and outreach of CEMB.
