Prof Dr Rafia Rafique Director IAP and President Pakistan Psychological Association representing University of the Punjab, Lahore presented an “Overview of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Research in Pakistan" at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto On 22nd July 2024, at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto hosted the Cross Atlantic Partnership for Global Mental Health event, featuring experts in the field. Prof Dr Rafia Rafique Director IAP and President Pakistan Psychological Association representing University of the Punjab, Lahore presented an “Overview of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Research in Pakistan," emphasized the critical need for improved youth mental health services in her country and showcased significant research findings. The event brought together international experts, including Prof. Kenneth Fung (University of Toronto), Prof. Nusrat Husain (University of Manchester), Dr. Aravind Komuravelli discussing difficult-to-treat adolescent depression, and Dr. Ashish Kumar presenting on UK mental health research. Dr. Benoit Mulsant led discussions on establishing mood research clinics in Pakistan and Nigeria.
