Famous Poet and Urdu Scholar, Mr. Salman Siddique, Visits Oriental College

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Dean, Faculty of Oriental Learning, University of the Punjab, Lahore, welcomed renowned poet, scholar, and Urdu teacher, Mr. Salman Siddique, from the USA, to Oriental College. The visit provided an opportunity for MPhil Urdu scholars to interact with the distinguished guest.
During the meeting, Mr. Salman Siddique shared insights about the state of Urdu language and literature in the USA, captivating the audience with his thoughts and experiences. He also recited his poetry, which was appreciated by the students and faculty members for its unique expression and craft.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran presented Mr. Salman Siddique with the second edition of his travelogue, "Gaaf say Guriya, Jeem say Japani."
Notably, Mr. Salman Siddique is an alumnus of the Department of Urdu, Punjab University, Oriental College, Lahore, and his visit was a nostalgic moment for many.
